Calvary Baptist Church was founded by Pastor Ben Drysdale as an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church in 1981.  We started with a small group of people who came together out of a shared desire to create a different kind of church. A church that was consumed with taking the Gospel to all people both locally and around the world. Part of our journey has caused us to build and develop ministries that reach the people of Clay and Duval Counties.  Each week our bus ministry picks up families all over this region, we hold addiction recovery group meetings, minister to the homeless, take the gospel into the local jails and prisons.  Additionally, it has caused us to focus on sharing the Gospel all around the world through our missions giving and our ANOM ministry.

* 1986 - Pastor Ken Pledger became pastor
* 1996 - Calvary Christian Academy began
* 2008 - ANOM (All Nations Outreach Ministry) began
* 2021 - Bro. Aaron Pledger joined the pastoral team as the youth pastor
