OUR MISSION

At Calvary, we believe that life is better when we live with Christ at the center of everything we do. We strive to lead people into an authentic, life-changing and eternity-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. Nobody is perfect, and no one is expected to be. But through the work of the Holy Spirit, we strive to be more like Christ and less like ourselves.

OUR VISION

We strive to be just that, a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls and for the most part that is true. We hope to have you join us.

OUR VALUES

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. This idea would not be possible without grace. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken. We have all sinned, and will continue to sin. We must love the sinner not cast them out.

PASTORAL TEAM

KEN PLEDGER

Pastor Pledger has been with Calvary Baptist Church for more than 30 years now. He loves the Lord, and is an amazing teacher, preacher and pastor. Outside of the ministry, Pastor Pledger's passion is his family. If he is not spending time with his wife, he can be found doting on his grandkids.

TIM PLEDGER

Bro. Tim is the Associate Pastor, and does a wonderful job coordinating all of our outreach ministries. He has a heart for serving and will most often be found outside of the church reaching the lost for Christ. He is a diehard Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loves to play golf.

JEREMY PETERS

Bro, Jeremy is the newest member of our pastoral staff. He joined our team in August of 2018 to work with our Youth. Prior to his work at Calvary, he served in churches in Milwaukee, WI; Fort Worth, TX; and Boise, ID. Bro Jeremy loves to write and sing. Outside of the ministry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son.

Our mission at Calvary Baptist Church is to glorify God by introducing Jesus Christ to as many people as possible and to develop them in Christian living using the most effective means to impact the world, making an eternal difference in Clay County and around the world.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We are distinctly a Baptist church. That means that we believe in that the Bible has the final authority for faith and practice, the autonomy of the church, the priesthood of the believer, two ordinances - believer's baptist and the Lord's supper, individual soul liberty, that church members must be saved and baptized, that there are two scriptural offices in the church - pastor and deacon, and the separation of church and state.

Be with us on this very special Sunday as we honor Pastor and Mrs. Pledger for 33 years of service at Calvary Baptist Church. Special guest, Evangelist Calvin Allen, will be preaching.

JUNE 2, 2019

NEWCOMER'S CLASS

All are welcomed to attend, especially those who are new to Calvary. This class will be weekly at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings.
