They can also answer other questions you may have.
Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron.
Looking to engage in a relaxed enviorment? We meet regularly as a church family to followship and grow together as a community of believers. We would love it if you could join us.
COME AS YOU ARE
By all means we want you to come as your are. One of our main goals here is to make sure you feel comfortable. When you walk through our doors we want you to feel welcomed and loved every single time. We understand that no one is perfect. The only thing we can do is love each other and extend grace. It’s not unusual to observe a variety of clothing choices at our Sunday worship service. Some prefer a more traditional mode of dress such as slacks and ties for men and dresses for the ladies while many feel just as comfortable in jeans and casual shirts for men and slacks and blouses for the ladies. We do not hold to any stated dress code as long as the attire is in keeping with a God honoring, God worshiping attitude. Dress for men and women should be without ostentation while reflecting modesty and moderation.
CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH
BRING YOUR BIBLE!
We encourage everyone to bring their Bibles. God calls for us to dive into the word, and we want to do that together. Most of us carry arround a Bible in our pocket every day without thinking. Feel free to pull out your smart phones and open up your Bible on whatever app you wish. Let's read together.
We believe that the goal of church is not to make people more religious but to help people fall more in love with God and therefore become more fully human. We believe that we are called to reach out to our neighbors both locally and globally and serve them in ways that make a difference. We believe that spiritual practices like prayer, reading the Bible, participating in ministry, fasting, and tithing are vital to our faith. We believe that this church is a movement and will continue to plan new ways to serve diverse neighborhoods in this city and beyond.
